In round-robin and pool-play formats, ties are inevitable. Reclub allows you to customize the priority of tiebreakers to ensure that rankings are decided according to your specific club rules.
Required Steps to Adjust Tiebreaker Priority
You can modify these settings within the tournament configuration menu:
-
Open Matches Tab: Within your competition, navigate to the Matches tab.
-
Access Format Settings: Tap on the Format button (or the gear icon associated with the format).
-
Edit Tiebreakers: Scroll down to the Tiebreaker Priority section.
-
Reorder Priority: You can drag and drop or select the order of the criteria the system uses to break ties.
-
Save Changes: Ensure you save your settings to apply the new logic to the live standings.
Common Tiebreaker Criteria in Reclub
The system typically uses the following logic in the order you define:
-
Win-Loss Points: The primary ranking based on total matches won.
-
Head-to-Head (H2H): Look at the result of the match played between the tied teams.
-
Games Won: The total number of individual games/sets won across all matches.
-
Score Differential: The total points scored minus total points conceded.
Important: Refreshing Standings
If you change the tiebreaker order while the tournament is already in progress, the standings may not update instantly.
- Recalculate: Tap the three stripes (hamburger menu) in the top right corner of your competition, select Request Support, and then tap Recalculate. This forces the system to re-rank the teams using your new priority list.
Still Having Trouble?
If the standings still appear incorrect after a recalculation, ensure that all matches for the tied teams have been Finalized by an admin. Unfinalized matches are not counted toward tiebreaker statistics.
