To maintain the integrity of your tournament and ensure that every result is recorded accurately, Reclub restricts the final step of the scoring process.
Important Policy Information
Only Admins of a competition have the authority to finalize match results. This acts as a quality control measure for your event:
-
Double-Check Accuracy: This ensures that an organizer can verify the scores for errors or disputes before they are officially locked into the system.
-
Standings Impact: Finalizing a match immediately updates the leaderboard, rankings, and—for sports like pickleball—external systems like DUPR. Restricting this to admins prevents accidental or incorrect data from being published permanently.
How to Finalize a Match (For Admins)
If you are the admin, follow these steps to lock in a result:
-
Navigate to the Matches tab of your competition.
-
Select the specific match from the bracket or list.
-
Enter the scores and review them.
-
Tap the Finalize button to commit the result to the tournament record.
Alternative: Allow Players to Enter Scores
While only admins can finalize, you can delegate the task of score entry to your participants to keep the tournament moving:
-
Enable Player Scoring: In the competition settings, flip the "Allow players to score" toggle.
-
The Workflow: Players can then input their own scores from their phones. However, the match will remain in an "unfinalized" or "pending" state until you, as the admin, confirm and finalize it.
Still Having Trouble?
If a match is stuck "In Progress" and won't let you finalize, or if you need to revert a match that was finalized incorrectly:
- Reset Scores: Tap the match, select the menu (three dots or stripes), and choose Reset scores & stats to try again.
Reach Out: Please contact Reclub Support through our feedback channel (Profile > Settings > Help > Send Feedback) if you encounter a technical error while finalizing.
