What competition formats does Reclub support?

Last updated on Jan 27, 2026

Reclub provides a variety of tournament structures to suit different community needs, from casual round-robins to high-stakes knockout brackets.

Supported Formats

1. Pool Play

  • How it works: Participants are divided into groups (or "pools") where they play against everyone else within their specific group.

  • Purpose: This is commonly used in the early stages of a tournament to ensure balanced competition. The results from pool play typically determine seeding or advancement to a knockout phase.

2. Elimination Format

This format is the classic tournament style where losing a match (or a set number of matches) removes a team from the competition.

  • Single-Elimination: A high-stakes format where one loss results in immediate elimination. This is ideal for intense, exciting competitions that need to crown a winner quickly.

3. Round Robin

  • How it works: Each participant plays against every other participant in the group exactly once.

  • Purpose: Round Robin is the most comprehensive way to rank players because everyone faces the same opponents. It is widely used in group stages to ensure fairness and to give all players a guaranteed number of matches.

Still Having Trouble?

Choosing the right format depends on your number of courts and time constraints. If you aren't sure which format will work best for your player count, we can help you figure out the logistics.
